Mooney Monthly. That is just a name, it pretty much comes out whenever in whatever month. This is the first of three clips we'll release from a month in papua. Maybe, just maybe they might come out within a month from each other. A bit of falling off, I probably wasn't that surf fit when I went over but non the less I think we came up with a few clips worthy for the web.
Just watch it! the waves do all the explaining in this clip!
Owey came up with the idea of releasing a monthly clip. Here is the first he's whipped up for the site. Just hanging around home and filming a few afternoon sessions.
Driving to the gold coast from Byron bay in the early hours of the morning a beautiful, unfamiliar girl introduced me to this song while pashing in the back seat. Courtney now lives with me.
Can't get enough of this guy and his band.
Marti Paradisis and I escape to an island far from care and responsibilities. Growing beards, roam free, makeshift bed to makeshift bed, knots in mozzie nets, never knowing the next place we'll wet our wings, we make it up as we go. A colourful van is our only control. I think its how its meant to be. Mikey Brennan, James Monie (pictured with the long hair) and Simon Treweek came along for a spin in the colourful, gear grinding mini bus. Simon thought it would work well in his new movie, Sally. Here's the teaser and a few shots from behind the scenes from our section of the movie.
I've just started filming with Owen Milne he's a 17yr old grom from copacabana. This is our first session we've shot together. Moonshine is where you will be able to find all of our sessions from now on. This is shot at my home break and Owen lives at the opposite end of the beach that you can see in this clip. The board I'm riding is a 5'4 quad Nirvana shaped by Bill Cilia. We've played around with the angle of the fins on the quads and we seem to be getting some nice results. More speed for less effort!
Damien Wills and I tow ours on an ugly lumpy swell. The swell was coming in a little straight so there was some backwash to deal with creating a pretty interesting session. Shot from two different angles by jacob wooden (slow motion at the start) and Nathan Foster. Scroll through the pics for a preview of the clip
This session was shot some time ago. I saw the latest Tracks magazine dvd with beau foster on it in south australia. It reminded me of this day near his place which was shot by his brother Nathan. I thought I'd put it on the site to plump it up a bit before Owen and I load some more content
